BEHAVIORLogos Dance Theatre wants all students to do their best and believe the Lord will do good work in their lives. Be prompt to class! Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early with all needed items. Full attention is required to progress in any dance class. Casual talking during class is a distraction to others and will not be tolerated. Students who arrive late, missing warm ups, may be asked to observe (for safety and distraction reasons). If you need to leave a class prior to teacher's dismissal, please be courteous and inform the instructor at the beginning of the class. Restrooms should be used PRIOR to class.
Logos Dance Theatre is a privilege and only cooperative behavior is allowed. Respect for the dance teacher and other students is expected.
Honoring language will be used. No name-calling or profanity is allowed.
Logos Dance Theatre expects students’ conduct to be respectful to property. Therefore, any damage done to property intentionally will be expected to be replaced or repaired by the student.
STUDIO CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHERThe studio will be closed if the road conditions are unsafe. In many instances, schools close, but by 4:00pm roads are fine. Therefore, please check our website, OR call the studio to find out if classes are being cancelled. Classes cancelled due to weather will not have make up classes.
MISSING CLASSES If you will be out of town or your dancer is ill please call the studio to let the instructor know. Fees are not prorated or refunded. You may talk to your instructor about attending a makeup class.
PRIVATE LESSONS We offer private dance lessons in ballet, jazz, tap and modern. Private lessons can be beneficial if your child is having difficulty with certain steps or needs additional assistance with the choreography or material presented in class. Rates vary for technique or choreography needs. Talk with the studio director for more information.
WINTER & SPRING BREAK The dance studio will be closed December 20 – January 8 for Winter Break.
The dance studio will be closed the week of March 12-16 for Spring Break.
SPRING SHOWCASEInstead of having a formal dance recital, we will have a
Spring Showcase this year. The expense associated with costumes, recital fees, pictures and DVDs adds up quickly, and sometimes we put too much emphasis on the routines rather than enhancing dance technique. That’s why we’re going to take one year off from the formal recital and focus on technical development through our classes. Your child’s progress will be highlighted in a
Spring Showcase on May 25, 2012.
