Class Description

In this dynamic (and equally fun) class the students will learn how to make a strong connection with scene partners. Through the techniques of Meisner, we will be exploring how to create strong and genuine scenes.  Created for the older student, we will learn higher-level acting preparation to get out of our our own minds and into the interaction right in front of you.  We will work on scenes from contemporary plays for skills that can be used in real time.

Hewleek McKoy

Hewleek has received BFA from Emporia State University. He was recently one of only 60 nationwide selected to attend workshops at the prestigious Open Jar Institute in New York City, working with some of Broadway's most respected professionals. Locally, Hewleek has performed with The Barn Players, Faust Theatre, Emporia Summer Theatre and Theater in the Park where he is currently cast in Sweet Charity. We are delighted to welcome Hewleek to CYT!
